The Time I Met an Angel
Jul 16, 2024In honor of my daughter Stephanie's birthday this week, I'm sharing a video I did several years ago about her birth. It was a difficult time for us both. My obstetrician told me after the fact that he was afraid that neither of us would survive.
Stephanie is my first child and I became dangerously ill during the pregnancy. I was so sick, she was born 12 weeks early via emergency cesarean section. She weighed only two pounds and was barely 12 inches long.
I can still see my tiny baby laying in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit incubator fighting for her life.
In my darkest hour, an angel seemed to appear. (See the short video by clicking on the image above.)
I don't know about you, but I needed to revisit this story today. In a world that can seem so dark, I'm glad I can remember angels are all around us.
All we need to do is ask for their help.
